Our Impression: Our goal with Lagerhaus Wheat was to create the modern version of a pub wheat. We wanted something elegant and memorable, yet still easy drinking. We took inspiration from our two favorite wheat styles, hefeweizen and witbier, and replaced the European ale yeast with our house lager yeast. We also lightly dry hop with Motueka. The result is a wheat lager with a clean fermentation profile and notes of fresh lime zest. It's perfect for those seeking a more neutral wheat beer, as well as anyone who enjoys tasty sessionable beer. Although we anticipate brewing this beer year round, it was designed to be the perfect summer patio beer!
Aroma: Sweet Bright Malt, Delicate Wheatiness, subtle citrus.
Appearance: Pours cloudy and light straw colored with fluffy white foam, with nice lacing.
Flavor: Wonderful dough character leads the way with a clean fermentation profile and notes of fresh lime zest. Superb clean finish, begging for another sip.
Mouthfeel: Silky, Creamy and light, with medium carbonation.
