Our Impression:
The Dubbel is directly related to our Belgian quad IV. In fact, we drew off from IV on brew day and diluted in a separate fermenter. We love the layered malts of the quad and thought it would make a great base for a dubbel. It's still a relatively high alcohol beer at 7%. It's a delightful beer if you're seeking something with depth and nuance, and it pairs beautifully with rich foods. Pair this with the Brues Alehouse Burger and you'll be in Belgian heaven.
