Haus Lager

Brues Alehouse Brewing Co
March Beers-4.jpg

Our Impression:  Haus Lager is a very elegant lager inspired by the traditional lager breweries of southern Germany.  Each time we brew this we arrive closer to our vision of the classic Munich Helles style. We love to reminisce upon the first time drinking a helles from a 1 liter mug at Hofbrauhaus, right outside the Marienplatz in downtown Munich.  The entire experience of drinking incredible beer inside a massive German beer hall, when you are completely jet lagged and exhausted,  is simply wondrous.  Helles, which translates to “light” (color), is a perfectly balanced light-colored lager with unrivaled drinkability.  Having spent much time in Germany, we know this style well and know the difficulty in accurately reproducing it.   We are continually adapting new techniques and technology in our goal to make this a top tier Helles Lagerbier.
