Hazy IPA
Brues Alehouse Brewing Co
Our Impression: Exp. 472 Hazy IPA tastes completely different than any of our other hoppy offerings. This is attributed to our focus on the hop variety known as Experimental 472. This hop is so new that it does not yet have a name. We have paired Exp. 472 with Sultana, which we feel balances the over-ripe fruit character with very pleasant citrus notes. If you are looking for a standard IPA, this is not for you. But, if you want to step out of the box a bit, or maybe you aren’t big on American IPAs, then this might be the perfect choice!

Aroma: Pungent hop bouquet with notes of pineapple, peach, apricot, orange, and guava.
Appearance: Exp. 472 pours hazy with a pale straw color. A thick dense head emerges when poured and lasts well into drinking, with nice lacing on the glass.
Flavor: This is a fruit forward IPA with huge tropical and ripe fruit notes. The malt body is slightly sweet to give the hops a “juicy” impression. There is no caramel character and the overall bitterness is relatively mellow due to our late addition hopping process.
Mouthfeel:The addition of wheat gives this IPA a velvety, chewy mouthfeel. Medium Carbonation.
