Our Impression: When warm weather hits, we crave the European style wheat beers. We love German hefeweizens and Belgian wits. Witbier (White Beer) is the lightest colored in the wheat family and can be described as having a dough-ier characteristic from the addition of unmalted wheat (the main ingredient in bread). The result is a very delicate beer with a more soft and neutral malt profile. The Belgian yeast provides delicate fruit character and balanced phenolic peppery notes. Our witbier is brewed with traditional methods including a secondary fermentation to naturally carbonate. This effervescent delight is crushable, light, and perfect for summer.
Aroma: Sweet Bright Malt, Pear, Banana, Pepper, Delicate Wheatiness
Appearance: Pours cloudy and light straw colored with fluffy white foam, with nice lacing.
Flavor: Wonderful dough character leads the way with spicy yeast esters and notes of pear, pepper, and clove.
Mouthfeel: Silky, Creamy and light, with medium carbonation.
